H.M. Ryan is a writer and editor from Pennsylvania, currently based in the U.S. He is the author of Jinky, a coming-of-age novel set in Scotland that explores identity, grief, football culture, and the lengths young people go to feel seen.
His work blends emotional realism with sharp character detail and a quietly comic undercurrent — stories about people trying to connect, even when they don’t quite know how.
Ryan founded Cosmorama in 2023 as a way to publish experimental, character-driven fiction and to spotlight voices that move between the literary, the uncanny, and the deeply human. When he’s not writing or editing, he’s usually watching Celtic FC, yelling at the TV, or thinking about stories that haven't been written yet.
